Frequenty Asked Questions

Higher Admission is a platform that helps students factor net cost into their college search and helps colleges make their true net cost visible to potential students. Due to the prior, prior year EFC calculation and several new tools for helping students find their EFC, early price revelation is coming to the application process. We’re a leader in that effort.
  • Desktop
  • Mobile device
  • Facebook Messenger chat bot
All colleges that are members of the National Association for College Admission Counseling are invited to join our platform.
For now, only U.S. citizens or residents are eligible to use Higher Admission. In the future, we plan to add international students.
With a focus on our initial target roll out area of Western Pennsylvania, Eastern Ohio and Northern West Virginia, we chose sample colleges from across size, geographic, rank, price, exclusivity and other categories to reverse engineer onto our platform. As more colleges officially join our revolutionary platform, we’ll begin to remove nonmembers.
  • Access to our students
  • Ability to add institutional and state based need aid
  • Ability to add custom messaging
  • Ability to control your prices and awards. By necessity, we limited our GPA breakpoints to nine ranges. Members set their own breakpoints for grades and test scores.
  • To avoid getting dropped from the platform
If your college offers aid based on student characteristics that we don’t yet collect, for example: valedictorian or salutatorian, first generation college, matching Raise Me award levels from other colleges, minority status, and etcetera, we’ll add those data points to our questionnaire and your college can then offer awards based on those criteria. Higher Admission can make your college more competitive, while helping it fill all of its diversity buckets, by signalling to students that you want them.
As soon as we prove our concept, students will have the option of providing us with their contact information and the ability to request that their selected colleges contact them. We’ll send you the files of students that select your college.
Putting your college on our platform is free.
